As with any vacation spot, eating out at night can get very expensive. If you’re looking for great food at a great price, Giampietro Pasta & Pizzeria in Breckenridge, Colorado is definitely the place to go. This great Italian restaurant has been voted “Best Pizza in Summit County” for six consecutive years.

To be such a popular restaurant in Breckenridge, the size is very small. With the Italian style red checkered table cloths, and the cozy atmosphere, there are only 8 tables in the entire restaurant which seats about 35 people. It is not unusual to see customers lining up outside waiting for a table. That in itself should tell you how wonderful the food is. Take-out is highly recommended, but most want to sit in the classic Italian atmosphere to enjoy their food fresh and hot.

Lucha Colorado Cantina

Lucha Colorado Cantina, located on South Main Street in Breckenridge, Colorado specializes in fresh and healthy Tex-Mex food. This casual eatery offers a refreshing change from your typical Breckenridge dining. You will find that many of the locals hang out here for the wonderful food and terrific company.

Briar Rose Chophouse and Saloon

Briar Rose Chophouse and Saloon is a restaurant in Breckenridge, Colorado with tremendous character and history. It originally served as a boarding house for miners, as it also provided hearty meals. The meals served there today would be described as much more than hearty. You will find some of the best slow roasted prime rib, delectable steaks, fresh seafood, poultry, pasta and even vegetarian entrees. Their meats are supplied by premium American providers like Harris Ranch Beef and Snake River Farms.

This historic building recently underwent a remodel that brought out the beauty and personality of the old structure. The remodel was obviously completed with great care, while preserving the characteristic details. It is decorated with art work from the original time period. Classic looking new wall paper covers the walls.

Briar Rose Chophouse will provide a quality dining experience for all ages. Families, groups, couples and individuals will all feel welcome as they enjoy an exceptional meal.

South Ridge Seafood Grill

Some people might be a bit wary of a seafood restaurant nestled high in the mountains of a ski resort town. At South Ridge Seafood Grill in Breckenridge, Colorado you can throw away those worries. Chef Paul has his seafood flown in fresh daily. You will experience the freshest seafood you’ve ever had in the mountains, ranging from sea bass and trout to swordfish and tuna.

Though it’s safely tucked away from the busy Main Street area, its still not very far. This is a favorite location for many locals of Breckenridge, CO. With its tin ceiling, mahogany wood and marble-top bar, South Ridge offers an interesting and enjoyable dining atmosphere. This is not the place to go if you’re looking for a quiet evening, as there is lots of noise going on while the diners enjoy their food and great conversation. The restaurant has been redecorated and very impressive changes have been made in the menu, food quality and service. Some customers have said that this is best fondue they have had in America, and just like what they get in the Alps. That is quite a recommendation.

Good Times Adventures

If you plan on being in Breckenridge, Colorado during the winter months, you must take some time out from skiing to go on a Good Times Adventures Dog Sledding tour in Breckenridge. It’s guaranteed to be one of the most memorable highlights of your entire trip. Recommended for ages 4 and up, it is an exhilarating activity for families, couples, individuals and large groups.

Upon arriving at Good Times Adventures, you will receive a brief but important dog-sledding lesson from your guide. The six mile relay-style tours usually consist of groups of six. Guests switch out between being the driver, passenger, and riding on a sleigh pulled by the guide on a snowmobile. The guide will stop periodically to rest the dogs and switch out mushers. The dogs are trained to follow the guide, but you will still need to lean into the turns and mush while going up hills. Don’t forget to call out “hike it up!” The dogs will know what you mean.

One of the best parts of the dog sledding tour is undeniably the eight beautiful Siberian Huskies that will be pulling your sled. These gorgeous dogs have tons of personality and playful energy. They love attention, so take some time to get to know them. Even if you are not a die hard dog lover, you’ll be sure to fall in love with these exceptional animals.
