A full day float trip takes you on the Colorado River to fish moving water, with a full riverside lunch in the middle of the day. If you want even more great fishing, try the overnight float trip, for two days of float and wade fishing with one night of camping by the river. A fireside surf and turf dinner, a hot breakfast, and lunch both days are included, with your experienced guide doing the cooking. All camping equipment is included, and you can choose cabins for a little extra.

If you’re into mountains climbing, be sure to consider climbing one of the many 14ers. A 14er is a mountain that is over 14,000 feet high. There are many in the area, and people love the adventure of trying to climb them all. Once you have decided to conquer these mountain trails it is a good idea to make sure you are prepared.

Climbing a 14,000 foot mountain will require moderately good endurance and balance, many mountains have trails or passes that you can take. But some are less traveled and harder to climb, if you have trouble with walking or hiking, stick to the more basic trails.

More experienced climbers can also try veering away from the trails and finding a more difficult way to get to the top. Each mountain will provide a different view of the valleys as well as unique scenery along the way.

There are over 50 14,000 foot mountain trails in the state, this means that you can spend all year discovering mountain trails without ever doing the same one twice. One of the more advanced mountain trails is the Quandary Peak. This trail is for more advanced climbers as it has a steep incline and has an elevation of 3,100 feet. Which can cause an oxygen deprivation in some people. Altitude sickness is a very real and serious danger and should be taken into consideration before climbing.

This climb provides you with great views of the valley below, as well as other mountain ranges. The hike will take a skilled climber about eight hours to complete, so make sure you have the whole day to spend here.
